About this course

Excellent seniors get stuck below the manager grade for one reason more than any other: nobody ever taught them the numbers. Then they are handed a budget, a variance report and an agency bill and expected to have opinions about them.

This course covers the handful of figures that actually run a care service, why agency spend is the number that decides everything, and how to have a budget conversation without either capitulating or bluffing.

I am a carer, not an accountant. Do I really need this?

If you want to be a registered manager, yes. The interview will ask about occupancy and agency spend, and the job involves defending a staffing establishment to somebody who is looking at a spreadsheet rather than at a floor.
