Why this is free
Care workers are among the lowest paid people in the country. Charging them for the induction knowledge they need in order to be allowed to work is indefensible, and a sector that does it while advertising a permanent ninety three per cent discount has stopped being embarrassed about it.
What we do
WAJD Learning teaches the professional knowledge that nursing and social care staff in the United Kingdom are required to hold: the Care Certificate, statutory and mandatory training, NMC revalidation, OSCE preparation for internationally educated nurses, and specialist practice in medicines, capacity, dementia and end of life care.
Every course is written twice over. Once as written material to read, and once as a conversation between a host and a practice educator, because most of our learners are listening rather than reading, often on the way home from a twelve hour shift.
How it is paid for
WAJD Learning is part of WAJD Group, which builds free learning services and funds them from its other work. The learning, the assessments, the certificates and the CPD record cost nothing and will not start costing something later.
Where we would charge is for bespoke work: content built to a specific employer's policies, a mapped induction programme, or printed certificates. None of that is anything a learner needs.
What we will never do
- Advertise a fake discount. A permanent sale price is the price, and pretending otherwise is a pricing claim that would not survive scrutiny.
- Issue a certificate for a competence that has to be observed. Basic life support and hoisting cannot be assessed by a website.
- Claim an accreditation we do not hold, or imply endorsement from a body that has not given one. Our accreditation page states our exact position and we update it as it changes.
- Sell, rent or trade learner data, or run advertising against it.
- Hold content back behind a login. You are reading whole modules right now without an account.
How the material is written
Every module is built from named, current UK sources: legislation, NICE guidance, the CQC fundamental standards, Skills for Care and Skills for Health frameworks, the NMC Code, and Resuscitation Council UK guidance. The sources are listed at the foot of every module rather than hidden, so you can check us.
Guidance changes, sometimes quickly. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, email hello@wajd.co.uk. We would rather be corrected by a district nurse than by a coroner.
Who writes it
Content is produced by WAJD AI and reviewed against primary UK sources. Where a subject requires clinical sign off before it can carry an accredited badge, that review sits inside the accreditation process described on the accreditation page, and until it is complete we do not claim the badge.
